On June 8, you’re invited to Braver Angels’ Skills for Disagreeing Better workshop, sponsored by the Indivisible groups in Douglas County CD4. This workshop is designed to help bridge the political divide in today’s polarized climate.
This interactive workshop:
Addresses the challenge of understanding why people on the other side of the political spectrum hold their beliefs
Encourages participants to move beyond stereotypes
Encourages participants to recognize the core values and concerns of others
Attendees will develop practical skills for listening so others feel heard, and for sharing their own viewpoints in ways that foster connection rather than misunderstanding, with the ultimate goal of finding common ground even amidst disagreement.
Please note that Braver Angels is a strictly nonpartisan organization dedicated to depolarizing America, and is conducting this workshop at the request of the Indivisible groups in Douglas County CD4; Braver Angels does not endorse any political party or agenda.
