About the Alliance
Braver Angels Southern Front Range Alliance is working in our local communities by holding workshops, debates and public presentations designed to bridge the polarizing political divide we experience in our country. These events allow conservatives and liberals to get past the destructive stereotypes so we can have civil conversations about real issues that lead to productive problem-solving.
Our mission is to introduce citizens to the Braver Angels process of depolarization and civil discourse through:
Attendance at Free Workshops
Current Event Discussions

Alliance Co-Chair Leadership
All Braver Angels Alliances have red/blue co-chairs and prioritize having no more than a 60/40 split in red and blue membership.

Sandra Brownrigg
Red Co-Chair
Sandra Lyle Brownrigg found Braver Angels when she was searching for organizations that offered practical solutions to the increasing political toxicity she was observing in her local and state elections. She first volunteered for the steering committee of Braver Angels’ Colorado Southern Front Range Alliance, serving as Red vice chair. Now, as the Red Chair for her local alliance and one of two state representatives for Braver Network, Sandra works to foster bipartisan collaboration and civic renewal in her local community and with organizations throughout Colorado.
Sandra brings 30 years of experience in executive roles with technology companies, nonprofits, and volunteer organizations. She served in senior leadership roles in strategic marketing, product management, and project management at companies such as Citrix, Gateway, and Lotus Development Company. Her favorite professional experience was as an adjunct professor at the Fort Lewis campus of the Oregon Institute of Technology, where she taught business and communications courses to soldiers preparing for their post-military careers.
A lifelong advocate for children's well-being, literacy, and education, Sandra has served in volunteer advisory roles in numerous organizations, including Make-a-Wish, the King County Library System, and the Douglas County School District. Sandra holds an undergraduate degree from Auburn University and an MBA from the Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.
Eric Brody
Blue Co-Chair
Eric Brody has promoted civility and fair-mindedness in our discourse and politics his entire adult life. As an undergraduate – as secretary, vice chair, and then chair of the Independent Party of the Yale Political Union – he encouraged his fellow students to consider issues not as captives of groupthink but as free-thinking individuals.
As a legislative aide for a member of Congress, he worked in a nonpartisan way with his fellow leaders of Hill Staffers for the Hungry and Homeless. As the founding board president of Transcendental Politics, among other activities he contributed to the Transcendental Politics Handbook. Eric long ago took the Pro-Truth Pledge, which is a commitment to truth-oriented behaviors and the protection of facts and civility.
Eric founded the Facebook group Decent and Sensible Dialogue and writes the Substack newsletter Decency and Sense. Eric infused these values into his 2022 campaign for the Colorado General Assembly and is doing so again this year.
Eric was a founding member of the steering committee of the Colorado Southern Front Range Alliance, its first Blue vice chair, and now its Blue co-chair. He is also Colorado’s Blue State Rep for the Braver Network, which is an important initiative of the Braver Angels national organization.
