News and Upcoming Events:
“Stories create community, enable us to see through the eyes of other people, and open us to the claims of others.” - Peter Forbes
When conversations get tough, one of the most disarming tools I've found for reconnecting with the person across from me is a story. Pausing, taking a breath, and sharing an experience that has informed my perspective has reset the tone of difficult conversations. Stories can push past our talking points, our judgments, and our need to defend our identities. They can withdraw the sharper tools in our own conversational arsenal, prioritizing connection over conflict.
At Share Your Story, we will first spend a bit of time getting to know our neighbors. Then we will take turns (pulling names from a hat) sharing some of the experiences that have informed our politics on specific topics. You pick the topic and the story that resonates with you to share. Those willing can take a respectful, curious question (or two) from the other attendees.
No experience necessary. This isn't a contest. We're coming together to share, to listen, and to draw what lessons we each can from what our fellow neighbors generously share.
Please join us on Sunday, 11/23, from 4 - 6 p.m.
Location: Parker Task Force, 19105 Longs Way, Parker CO 80134
Cost: Free. Optional donations support Braver Angels and other events like this one.

Join us at the city-wide annual festivities in Castle Rock! Every year, the town turns out to celebrate lighting the star on the iconic Castle Rock. There's hot chocolate, Santa Claus and Mrs. Santa, carolers, and so much more. It's fun for all, so come see us!
The Mulberry Bridge Project is a national exchange program committed to uniting liberals and conservatives in order to share common values and explore their differences with methods that will lead to acceptance and appreciation.

Braver Angels Mission
We bring Americans together to bridge the partisan divide and strengthen our democratic republic.
Braver Angels Philosophy
As individuals, we try to understand the other side’s point of view, even if we disagree.
In our communities, we engage those we disagree with, looking for common ground and
ways to work together.
In politics, we support principles that bring us together rather than divide us.
