The Mulberry Bridge Project is a national exchange program committed to uniting liberals and conservatives in order to share common values and explore their differences with methods that will lead to acceptance and appreciation. Residents of red and blue states come together over two weekends to host one another in their individual communities, demonstrating in compassionate and empathetic ways the cultural, historic and religious traits that make their region so unique and significant. It is a life-changing experience that will reveal not only the tremendous range of experiences in our country but the strength that comes from our collective distinctions.

We kicked off our quarterly film series October 5, screening and discussing the first of four films we'll screen over the next year. We will alternate conservative-leaning films with progressive-leaning films; watch them together; then discuss our reactions.
Stay tuned for our next film, coming in January!
In the morning of September 11, Braver Angels CEO Maury Giles shared with the membership some thoughts in the aftermath of the assassination the day before of Turning Point USA founder and executive director Charlie Kirk. One can read his message in full here.
Giles offered sound advice and I encourage all to consider it.
We’re bringing people together to share the experiences that have shaped us politically. Stories can humanize us, helping us see the unique, complex individuals that we might otherwise lump into "the other side".
At this event, participants will:
Share stories of their formative political experiences or of those experiences that guide their view of specific topics
Practice active listening
Practice asking curious questions
Volunteer with Braver Angels! Connect with people of all backgrounds while staying true to your principles. Discover the power of respect, curiosity, and shared purpose as you learn to better understand those you disagree with. Help foster understanding across divides—one meaningful conversation at a time.
Braver Angels Mission
We bring Americans together to bridge the partisan divide and strengthen our democratic republic.
Braver Angels Philosophy
As individuals, we try to understand the other side’s point of view, even if we disagree.
In our communities, we engage those we disagree with, looking for common ground and
ways to work together.
In politics, we support principles that bring us together rather than divide us.
